Our aim is to support tenants to maintain their tenancy, and to help develop the life skills needed to live independently in the community. All tenants will complete support plans tailored to suit their individual needs, which will help build the confidence needed for independence when they move on.
Accomodation
Accommodation consists of 13 self contained spacious flats; each has its own living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Flats are spread across four floors. There is a staff duty office where staff will be based this is on the ground floor as you enter the building. On the second floor we have a small office which is used for the tenants to gain access to computer training.
Roseberry provide 24 hour staff cover.
A laundry room is available for which there is no charge.
Regular residents meetings are held at the project usually once a month tenants are always encouraged to attend, to offer ideas and suggestions which may help improve the service provided.
How to apply
Application is made through a referral process.
Referrals are via a Mental health accommodation and support panel. The purpose of the panel is to act as a sole gateway, into a range of housing and support options for people with mental health needs in Middlesbrough.
Eligibility criteria:
- Aged 18 years and upwards. (A service may be provided to an individual aged 16 to 17 years but this should be agreed on a case-by-case basis with the Council.)
- Diagnosed with a mental illness, or are individuals who have enduring mental health problems including personality disorder, and are case managed, either by a community psychiatric nurse, or an approved social worker.
- Have demonstrated the need for a level of support that can be provided by the services represented to the panel.
