SAHA Services
General Needs Jo H
SAHA has a range of accommodation spread throughout the country. Click on the link below for a list of where we have properties. Properties are managed locally by Housing Officers, with a central Customer Service Centre to whom residents can report repairs or call to answer any queries.
SAHA has 1282 general needs properties, where we house a wide range of resident groups, these include; single people, couples, families, people needing support and the elderly.
How to be allocated a property by SAHA
We offer properties in a range of ways. For most areas in which we operate, we have agreements with the Local Council who will nominate prospective tenants to us from their waiting list. Some of the Councils in the areas where we have properties operate a system called Choice Based Lettings where applicants are able to view properties and bid for them. Other areas have a housing register from which they will nominate the highest priority applicant who would qualify for the property in terms of its size or location.
Referrals from hostels
We also accept referrals for people leaving hostels, and from other recognised referral agents. We do not hold many waiting lists ourself, as we are restricted by nominations agreements in many areas, however for certain schemes we do accept applications and if you click here you can view the areas where applicants may apply directly. If you are interested in applying for accommodation in an area not listed as one where we can accept a direct application, you need to be registered on the Local Council waiting list.
